I'm not too sure which comes first.
The photo: taken at the beach near my brother's apartment in sydney;
or the first track of this playlist: casual diamond - sleep ∞ over.

Maybe it was just by a happy accident, these two things coincidentally occurred in the same time. So its only natural that this chance meeting would spiral into a 9-track/36:25-minute session of moody music that may well have you drifting off in deep-thought or deep-sleep. Either way, we hope you enjoy. If you like, listen to it over and over, here. If you love love, let us know, we'll see what we can do so you can listen to it 24x7 without topping out your data limit.

// casual diamond - sleep ∞ over
// skippin buddy - chromatic flights
// no more sorry - my bloody valentine
// i sing you - hanne hukkelberg
// the party - st vincent
// maundy thursday - air france
// way too fast - active child
// know where - holy other
// backwords - porcelain raft

This is one part of the slow conversion to Sydney. We were just fooling around, walking down the street after being re-fueled with black sesame frappe, when we saw this alley. Just such amazing light, it flooded the whole space!

The Head Chain? Made it just two hours before our flight - at 3am in the morning. It was kind of an emergency, you see, it was supposed to be part of a wedding day outfit. But that fell through, so I made it my job to wear it every other day in Sydney. We also received our first order for one in the process!!

I've got to admit it, we don't exactly have a history of liking Sydney very much. Maybe we were jaded and drained by the one side of Sydney we continuously saw on our many trips there. This feeling remained whenever someone suggested moving there.

But this trip has opened up a whole new side of this city - a side we potentially see eye to eye with - suddenly it seems more like our kind of place. Newtown, Surry Hills, ikea, catching the trains, wandering the streets, and even had the pleasure of meeting some interesting and down to earth people.

Sydney: the lovely affair

Currently in Sydney. And yes I know, we should have posted earlier. But the apartment isn't exactly blogger-friendly (pricey internet) and on top of it all, its been way too much fun.

We came for our brother's wedding and we've been walking, thrifting, eating and wandering every chance we get in between. For now, some photos (our looks) from the wedding and later we'll share more.

Back home tomorrow and we'll reply your messages and catching up on your blogs as soon as we can.
