Chinese New Year - kinda feels like Christmas in our house. Festive times. Miniature pineapple cookies in one hand and gold embossed red packets in the other. With all the family together its been pretty hectic having to share again: the tv, the imac and other forms of entertainment. So instead of fighting it out, we resolved to pleasing the crowd, baking and getting a crash course on all our favorite childhood cakes from Mother. Nostalgia. The last time I ate these cakes, I was still playing with 'pop pop snappers', demolishing my brother's lego train sets and watching after-school cartoons.

love the layering of your blouse over the dress, I've been wanting to try that forever.

And, I'm so excited for Chinese New Years celebrations, they usually fall on my birthday so this year I'm gonna get to see the fireworks! :)
