Zakopane: in Spring

Wednesday, August 4, 2010

We think it's time for some more snaps from our recent (kinda, not that recent) travels. This portion of our blog has been on a hiatus of some time, just so much to do, so much to want to do... and just 24hours in a day. But here is an image-heavy dose of travel. Zakopane, a Ski town out from Krakow we took a day-trip out to during Spring this year. And boy even though it wasn't all snowy fun, we still thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, eyes wide with all the quaint beauty we were seeing around us (OK fine, some of it was some what aimed at the turistas, but really what got us was the light heartedness about the place).

P.s. If you're wondering what we've been doing with our time? ...Geekily experimenting and learning html codes is what. If you check below... Remember to hover over the thumbnails! ...you'll see the main image change to the full version of each thumbnail! Can't you just taste my excitement about this... hm.

Is there a name to the soup above. It looks delicious. Would like to cook it. Do you remember?

@Anonymous: That soup is Zurek, a polish sour white rye soup. Really good, you should definitely try to make it.
